Privacy

Privacy details for But AI Bad, including analytics, ads, logs, search, external links, and correction requests.

Short version

But AI Bad is a static, source-backed publication. There are no reader accounts, no comment system, and no first-party need to identify you just because you read a claim page.

Server and hosting logs

The site may be served by GitHub Pages, Cloudflare, or another static host. Those providers may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamps for security, diagnostics, abuse prevention, and delivery.

Search

Site search runs in your browser against a static search index. The current static search does not require a server-side search request for each query.

Analytics

Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It helps measure traffic source, referrer, approximate location, browser/device information, page paths, and outbound source-link clicks. It is not used for reader accounts, names, emails, or user IDs. If your browser sends Do Not Track, analytics stays off unless you explicitly choose Allow analytics for this site.

Ads

Google Ads may appear on the site. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, prevent fraud, limit abuse, measure ad performance, and follow their own privacy policies. Where required, Google presents a separate message for ad privacy choices. The Optional analytics choice on this site controls analytics only; it does not set your Google Ads preferences. The site may also show internal sponsor-style image ads, which are ordinary links to selected pages or sponsors.

External links and sources

Claim pages link to external source material. Following those links takes you to sites this project does not control. Those sites may have their own analytics, ads, cookies, terms, and privacy practices.

Corrections and contact

If you use the contact form, the project receives the name you provide, your email address, the selected topic, an optional page URL, and your message. That information is used to review the submission and reply when appropriate. It is not used to create a mailing list.

Cloudflare Turnstile processes request and browser signals to limit automated abuse. Cloudflare Pages processes the form request, and Cloudflare Email Service delivers the message. Standard security and delivery logs may include an IP address, request details, timestamps, and delivery status. Do not send private information that is not needed to explain your message.

Updates

This page will be updated when the site materially changes how analytics, advertising, social features, or submissions work.
